Thinking about painting my 63.5 galaxie firewall white while i have dash out. Interior is black but it won't be seen. Thinking it would make it brighter if a person was laying on your back working on something under the dash. What is everyone painting that area or just leaving it alone?

I like it black myself. But I would use rattle can Rustoleum if you are painting just to lighten it up.

I have my dash out too and I sprayed mine with Rust-O-Leum bed liner spray. It works as a sound proofer and look nice. I sprayed the complete interior and truck. After i got the under body cleaned, no under coating I sprayed it to. It really looks nice. A friend of mine that restore this old rides, take them and have Line-X sprayed inside and out.

White is a BRILLIANT idea to use as an added brightening factor for under dash repairs. But if you do it right the first time there are no other under dash repairs that need done in the next 25 or 35 years...
