Well, since the old 289 is gonna be rebuilt from scratch, I'm gonna go ahead and replace the old dished pistons with a flat top or mild domed set up. The car will not see beyond 7000 rpm (unless I miss a shift
). I'm also going to spring for the serious rod bolts while I'm at it. Any brand suggestions will be much appreciated...

I like kb pistons, they are light, strong, and relitivly inexpensive. I think I remember a few other guys on this site who prefered them to forged units.
