Ok. Just bought this car on a trade deal. 1995 cobra supercharged with a c4. When I looked a this car the first time it had a clutch pedal in it. The seller said yes you have to push the clutch in for reverse to work. I crawled under and sure enough the clutch switch is wired to the trans. Now I didn't lift the car yet but can someone tell me whats going on? You do have to push the clutch for reverse to work. If your in a forward gear and push the clutch the car does not move till you let it out. Hope someone knows what this is. Any help would be greatly appreciated. Thanks

Sounds like it may have a trans brake type valve body.

Most folks wire the trans brake solenoid to a button on the shifter.

+1 there are some reverse manual / trans brake valve bodies that will on engage reverse when a switch is activated. This was done as a safety measure to prevent hitting reverse at the end of a run at the strip. It is a novel idea to hook it up to a clutch pedal.
