Happy new years everyone!

Went back to LACR for the second day of the Hangover Nationals. Only got one pass and decided to powershift. Ran a 13.18 at 102 mph. Regular shifting the day before was a 13.35 at 101. Only change was to drop the timing back to 38ish degrees which may have been why the mph picked up.

Previous bests at that track were all low 13.3's. So it would seem that the powershifting helped quite a bit. Also the 60 ft was not my best but still good for me. A 1.84.

Corrected that is a 12.76 at 105 mph. Happy with it for what it is.

That's awesome results, I've thought about doing it but have not yet at the track. Dare I ask if you missed any shifts? That's a solid 2/10's improvement.. Man that gives me some hope, I'm trapping 100mph even my last time out, maybe w/ better 60 ft and powershifting i could hit mid 13's....good job....

None missed. Only one pass.

I'd think you'd easily hit mid thirteens with a better 60ft.

I don't really know.
I'm sure JustJim does.

A while back I went on the track's web site and they gave the formula to correct your times. I'm sure they also tell the elevation. The site is www.LACR.net I believe. Haven't been on there for a while. The formulas are multiply your et by .9679 and your mph by 1.0337.

I'll work on it.
Sad thing is I get destroyed by a nice red Camaro that ran a low 11.

Wow ! That is a measurable gain ! I'm not sure I'm quick enought. When you powershifted did you move for the gear BEFORE your max shift point or hit it right on the light ??
No. I shifted at 6,000rpm which is my normal shift point. I have the 6,400rpm chip/pill in the msd 6al. So I'm not afraid of over revving it.
