Tommi, thanks for the posting, however I must be missing something. No help that I can find for a Galaxie and only the Lares steering boxes have the interchange listed and that would be for some early Ford trucks. Help me if I missed something.

That was weird, first time I clicked on Tommi's link it brought up steering boxes for Ford Trucks. Second time it brought up boxes for 75 Ford cars. When I posted I used 62 Galaxie and brought up the same number and the link I posted worked a little while for the 62 application then magically changed to 75 Gran Torino....

Tommi, I now see how you came up with the information. I belive the info is incorrect. Would be a blessing if it were correct. Information is olny as good as the person doing the input and at $6.25 what do we expect.

Wouldn't this be a blessing if the #840 box worked in our cars! I think I may just order on to compare! If we could use this type then I could reinstall my PS pump and have a decent steering box.

Tommi: I have heard that there is a Saganaw steering box that will fit our cars. I googled Lares Corp and got their phone number. I will phone them on Montag and ask. They sell a lot of Saganaw boxes that were used on GM cars.

I don't know anything about this company, but there was an article and custom rodder mag a while back about this conversion. Puts a saginaw 605 box in the pre-65 galaxies. I've never heard of another simple, bolt in ps swap for early gals.
