I have a power steering pump in a 1977 F-250, I need to pull the pulley and the bracket off in order to get a new pump. I can't get the allen head bolt out , it won't budge! Has anyone rebuilt their pump and removed the pulley?

The ALLEN HEAD BOLT, is NOT a bolt Sir Neil....

This is what you need...

There should be a lip at the nose of the pulley this tool grabs on to.

The end goes flush on the end of the P/S pump shaft and as you twist it inward the pulley slides out and off the pump shaft. It is best and easiest to use an IMPACT for this portion of the job.... (and for re-assembly once mounted...)

There is a bolt provided with a new powersteering pump to "pull" the pulley back onto the shaft.

Any more Q's just PM me.
