AFR 185 heads use the normal horizontal, 2" bolt center to center header mounting pattern.I have set of old Motorsport 1 3/4" headers with "J" staggered bolt pattern.
To me it looks like this 2" horizontal pattern is too narrow for any 1 3/4" headers( 2 - 1 3/4= 1/4" only), allowing no room for bolts. Is the adapter plates with two bolt patterns the only alternative and who does make them? I tried my old 1 5/8 headers on and they block about 25 % of the exhaust port so bigger headers are a must !

Ville.
If those 185's are anything like my 205s, (which I assume they kind are)
, the inner holes are stock . The outer ones are like the Dart sizes.

Hooker makes the adapter plates, (for sure that I know of), for those types of headers.
They sell the kit, (flanges/bolts/custom bolts for mounting flanges), for about 38 bucks. (at least that's what they quoted me to replace my adapter plates/bolts).
Give 'em a call. Good luck!

The 185s have only the inner holes
(strange! ).I think the only way is to have adapter plates like the ones in the picture. Thanks guys.
