The '87 was having a noise when you turn the wheel. So we replaced the power steering pump today. Juiced it back up, cranked it and turned the wheel. Still get the Waaa, Waaa, when you turn the wheel. What gives? Thought that should get rid of the noise, but it didn't. What else should I check.

Alot of older Fords just do it. New pump or not.

I've never used this. But I recall somebody running a good synthetic fluid pretty sure it was Redline. Said it settled down the noise a bit but was still there.

Wonder if a newer SN95 PS pump could be modified to work?
