Hi guys,

Well, I'm stumped.

Me and the boys have been working on the middle son's 1965 Mustang and, best as we try, we can't get it to run right.

It's a 6-cyl, 200 ci with a C4 automatic transmission.

Though it idles pretty well, it won't accelerate. Almost seems like it's being shut down somehow.

After verifying the timing is correct, we've tried everything from replacing the points, plugs, condenser, wires, rotor, cap, and coil, fuel filter, we've had the carburetor professionally rebuilt, swapped out fuel pumps, even double-checked the vacuum advance, but it just won't run right - it still seems to be almost missing at idle, but not terribly so, then loses all power when you try to accelerate.

Any suggestions???
