I have only pulled the 428 out of my 63 fastback once to put a new oilpan on it and when I did I first pulled the t-10 out from under the car. Curious to know if you can get the engine and trans out together without having to remove the front of the car to do it.

Sure can. That's the only way I've done it. Been a long time but you need to jack the front end up, as the trans. needs someplace to dip down as you tilt it out. You also have to remove the hood. Mark where the hinges are real good. Some people drill a small hole through the bracket and into the hood in addition, to make alignment easier on reinstall.

Thanks Pat, Hoods off and car is up 2 cinder blocks high all the way around . I have to stand on a milk carton to access the engine compartment.

Thanks again, I have a good 2 1/2 ton hoist to do it with but I also have to raise up the engine somewhat to get my long tube cast headers off, what a P I T A!

Yea, I made a run to the midnite auto supply and got a five finger discount on 2 almost new milk cartons behind our big grocery store.
