These are the 05 Wheels I had on the 71 Mustang. I kept em when I sold the stang, and I think they look a LOT better on the Galaxie. How about you?

Any rubbing when turning the wheels? I thought 05' wheels were 17"x8", pretty wide for the old girl possibly. They do like nice though!

these are V-6 wheels, 16 x something... I honestly havent even driven it, but they seem to have more room than the tires that were on it. I am running spacers to account for the modern offset, either 1.25 or 1.5 inches, I cant recall which.

It does run, maybe I'll take it for a lil trip around the block tonight and see how they are.

Ya, they doo look sweet. I have a 64, and tried a set of 96 GT 17" wheels on, no dice. There is way too much backspacing, maybe if I flipped them the other way? Is there a big difference in backspacing between those 05's and the 94-04's?

I believe they are the same offset as the earlier stuff. Im running spacers to make up for it. The spacer bolts to the hub, and then the wheel bolts to the spacer. I just cant remember if they are 1.25 or 1.5 inches. I'll go measure when I get a chance.

I've used spacers with good success over the years, with 2 different sets of wheels on the mustang and one set on a ranger that even saw some rough driving off road. never had an issue.
