i have a 347 with match ported dart snr alloy, 10.1 comp,comp cams 294s,quad webers,1 3/4 headers,4.1diff tremmec 3550,to get some more hp would i be better of porting these heads or changing cam or both?i belive i cannot go any bigger with cam due to comp ratio?the exhaust side has had a slight porting but inlets only cleaned up,what avenue should i take to increase hp?

Those alloy Sr heads are the same castings as the iron Windor Sr heads and yes they really need to be ported good to really make good HP numbers. If it was a 302, I'd say a mild cleanup including bowl work but 347 needs more involved work. After a good porting, the RPM range will be higher and it will make more HP just as if you added a larger cam but you will pretty much retain the low end torque you have now, just have an extended power band with more power under the curve with no loss in drivability.
