Hi all first post! I have an 83 cougar which I swapped out the v6 for a 302. I was wondering if the c5 stock will handle the extra hp 250 approx of the new engine. If not what mods are recommended. Should I swap in a c4?

The C5 is a C4 with a lockup torque converter and a different valve body and bellhousing. Get a C4 bellhousing, valve body and torque converter and your'e there. Better oiling in the C5 BTW.
