Has anyone converted their 66-67 Fairlane to Rack & Pinion steering? Did you use a Kit or custom made your own setup using what type of Rack? Thanks in advance...

I want to do this also. I would like to see you get a reply from someone who has done this. With big horsepower, I would think you would want a nice tight handling front suspension

I did the RRS manual setup on my 69 and it is awesome. Since you have a 66 check with Dearborn classics they have a very inexpensive kit for 66/67's.
Very inexpensive compared to RRS anyway

Thanks Torino420,
Did you have manual before, what is the difference in steering effort from stock manual to rack manual? Do you know the type of Rack they used? Did you keep the rest stock of the front end stock? Thanks alot....

It's about the same as the factory manual setup. No idea what rack they use and the front end is pretty much stock for now.
Having "good" steering makes more then just the steering better. You get alot less feedback in the steering wheel with this setup.
