As I'm putting things back together i am curious about how tight the "rag joint" should be where the gear box and steering wheel arm connect? Is the only thing that holds this connection the two pins? Mine doesn't look very safe almost like if any stress was put on it the flange would pop out off the rag joint. Thought about loosening up the part on the gear box thats splined and trying to make a better fit.

Any suggestions or picture of this area would be appreciated as always.

Besides the two pins there are two bolts. Where the two bolts go through the rag part should be sleeves so you can't over tighten the bolts.
