I pulled the pass side off my 65 custom and it looks like someone let the shoes go to the rivets for years so I am looking for drums,I went to autozone and they can order me some but at 64 dollars each it sounds a little high so I am looking for cheaper. I know they are the same mechanically up to 68 but does anyone know if there is a newer year that I can use them from, they are 11x2 1/4. I have a pair of almost new wagon drums but they are wider then the sedans,I will try to slip one on tomorrow to see if the will work as I do have the backing plates but do not want to go through all that if I dont have to. The reason I thought the wagon drums were wider is I measured them and the surface where the drum contacts the shoes is 2 1/2 wide but it fit the sedan that has 2 1/4 shoes and the drums that came from the sedan measured 2 1/2. Normal galaxies except wagons and ones with 427s had 2 1/2 wide front shoes and I think the rear drums are the same,I kept the front drums from the custom after I changed to discs and I think I will be removing the hubs and see if they will work on the rear.
