car is 3150, 700hp under hood, c-4 auto ,28x9 slick, 4.11 or 3.70? be gentle guys.

545, Ive been doing alot of reading and checking into the "gear ratio" question lately.

I like the idea of the 3.70 gear in your car.

You have to have a "boatload" of low end torque with the Badd Azz 545 you are running,so the 3.70s would let your torque pull your car up the track pretty nice.

I think the 4.11s would also work ok,but you have pretty short tires on your car and I think the 4.11s would pull your low end power motor right out of the "sweet spot" too quick?

Just my opinion on this,but I would go with the lesser gear on the 545 Stang.

I believe your car will accelerate faster
if it's kept closer to the fat part of
the torque curve - that's my experience
with a Hemi years ago. Course you may
want to wind it a little more thru the
lites, but I think the answer about
keeping it in the "sweet spot" is right on.
You've got a WHOLE bunch of torque, let it
do the accelerating.
