A previous post got me thinking, by having a rear water passage on the intake, how much does this help in cooling the motor? On my wifes 66 Mustang with a .040 over 289 with Ford/Holley tri-power and Vintage Air Conditioning, I am alittle concerned that it will have a tendency to run on the hot side. The intake does not have a rear crossover. I haven't started the motor yet, but will be in a couple of weeks. I have toyed with the idea of adding a -10 AN crossover hose between the ports at the rear, but something tells me not to. Would there be any advantage?

I've used intakes with and without the rear passage. Couldnt tell any difference at all. The 393, we've tied it both ways, even with the tiny radiator, there's no difference in cooling.
