Hi,

I plan on building a 331 stroker based on a '72 standard bore Mexican block I recently bought.
The 331 is going into a street-only '67 Mustang fastback with C4, stock converter and stock 3.00 rear end, so it should have plenty of low end torque.

I was thinking about a Scat rotating assembly (cast crank, I-beams, forged pistons) and I already have an Edelbrock Performer RPM intake I can use, but could really use some help with cam and head selection.
What heads would you guys recommend for a mild 331 stroker, and what cam (needs to be flat tappet, solid or hydraulic).

TIA

On the cam, I'd call Tony at Crane and run your spec's by him and let him spec the cam for you. He knows his stuff when it comes to cams.

Tony (shultz) if that is who you are reffering to handles their import side now.

I'd recommend calling 1800CAMHELP

Thanks guys,

I was already considering a custom cam from either Jay Allen, Ed Curtis or Buddy Rawls. I hope to order the rotating assembly next month. Then I'll have to save some $$$ before I can build the rest of the engine.
