I haven't tried it myself but PerformancePorsche says it really works. Mustang Monthly said the same. Theoretically it improves the heat transfer between the coolant and the radiator.

it works great, but, it works best with pure water (distilled) and no antifreeze.
Two bottles and rest water and the engine will run right at your thermostat rating at all times.

I was going down through NV to an off road race with a friend in his Jeep cherokee. We had to limit our speed on the way down, cause the motor was running hot. Stopped at Summit and picked up some water wetter. Never got hot again.

That stuff is a must here in Sacramento. When the temp outside hits 110*, it's nice to see your engine staying at 180*. I highly recommend it to stay cool
