Is it possible to retrofit a 68' 302 to take the 5.0 belt and pulley setup. I already have 5.0 heads w the extra big mounting bolt deals for the altenator & power stearing. I need a new altenator now (PA preformance?) and figured this might be a nice little way to loose some friction and pick up a bit of power? Any thoughts?

the 5.0 serpentine belt is reverse rotation, need a 5.0 water pump.

check out pulley retrofit by frdnut in response to your post.I put my reply in the wrong spot.OOPS!By the way I'm checking this out as well for my 68 stang so I can use those nifty (and cheap compared to v-groove) underdrive pulleys for 5.0s

Yes. However, the standard fuel pump MIGHT not work w/a serpentine setup.

I would buy locally and save $60-70. The 100-A and 140-A are GM alternators in Ford cases. Also, I would call Ford Racing (810) 468-1356 and get definative answers from the tech desk. Good luck.
