OK I got the tax man all paid up so it’s time to get back to work on my projects.

I am trying hard to get my Mustang II to the track before the season ends. I bought all the tubing for the roll cage 1 ¾ .120 but my bender will not bend it without kinks. I have heard that you can fill the tubing with sand cap the ends and bend it with no kinks. Will this work? Has anyone tried this?

Lots of new guy’s around here glad to see FM is still doing well!

I have a hydraulic pipe bender, and it doesnt do very well on tubing over 1". It tends to crush it. For my roll-bar, I went to a guy that builds dirt-track cars. He had an exhaust-shop type of tubing bender. It did a great job, with only minimal sinking in the bends.
