Hi

I have installed my roller cam with just assembly lube and just engine oil on the cam lobes.
For the Lifters, I have read I need to soak them in Oil overnight before fitting. Do I then use assembly lube on the roller itself?
The engine will be a long time in the build, Is there anything else I need to do?

Thanks

It is advised that hydraulic lifters not be pumped up before the initial fire. If the engine is going to sit, they will bleed down. I would use assembly oil on the lobes, rollers and lifter bores if it is going to sit.

But the valve springs (compressed) may weaken sitting for a long period.
