I got a good deal on some Crane retrofit roller lifters with link bars. Does it make any difference if they are installed with the link bar towards the block side or facing up towards the intake?The lifters have to be installed with the heads off (289) so I want to get it right the first time.

The link bars face the middle of the lifter valley.
