I have a 1963 Falcon with a 302 an Accel dual point distributor that has been changed over to a Petronix electronic ignition.The vintage Sun SST tach has been reworked inside and works fine.the car is on a lift and I can't check for sure how the wires are hooked up. I think I have 1 wire to + side coil,1 wire to ign. switch, 1 to dash lights.Paper work on Rotunda tach says red wire to ign. switch,blue wire to dash lights,black wire to existing pink resistor wire.I never used any exsisting or new resistor wires when I wired up the Sun tach.What I need to know is,if I hook the Rotunda tach up red wire ign.switch,black wire to + coil,blue wire to dash lights,is this going to be ok ? I don't want to blow this Rotunda tach up.any help or direction to some schematics would be Greatly appreciated.
