Is it nessary to reinforce the metal where you drill the new holes in the shock towers for the 1 inch SHELBY DROP ? I will not be racing the car ,only driving twisty montain road with the sprit of racing in my heart .Thanks for any help.
Should not have to if you hit the right location.. I did the mod on my Falcon and ended up putting it back stock for several reasons. First, it didn't do much if anything for driving that I could measure. Second it was a pain to do front end alignments with headers. Third I felt it put a bind on the ball joints. My car drives pretty good at the present. As much as the Falcon and Mustang are alike, they are different. A good sway bar, roller perches, and a good alignment with stock spindles I think would make the best improvements. Along with R&P steering if you choose to go that route like I did.
