I think I will be needing to ship my old 8 inch center section to canada. I've never shipped to canada before, can I use UPS and how much more money does it cost because it is going out of the U.S.?

Best thing to do is the package it up in as small a package as possible, but make sure it's safe and secure inside the box. Then go to the UPS website, and the USPS site...they have shipping calculators that you just punch in the weight and dimensions (and address too) and it will give you a fairly accurate quote. UPS moves much quicker...but is going to probably cost a bit more. Since it's going out of country, you will need to fill in a cutoms form. I believe both have pick up available at your door...but I also think there may be weight limits too...it will tell you on the websites
Good luck!

Depending where it is going, it would be a lot cheaper to send it to a shipper/receiver in a border town in the US (if the person you are sending it to lives anywhere near the border and can go pick it up).

I only live a few miles from the border myself, so I have anything I buy from the US shipped to a shipper/ receiver in Sumas, WA. I bring it across the border myself, thereby saving broker fees (which add a lot to the cost of shipping). Because of NAFTA, there is no duty on anything made in North America (only sales tax).

Eldoon is bang on.

UPS are thieves as they like to hit you with brokerage fees that are often more than the shipping and all they are really doing is their own paper work, big scam! If an item can be mailed, USPS is the best ( not too good for a pumpkin though!) Stu
