Im wondering about something that happened to my new truck. While i was at the movies someone hit it and left. they didnt do much damage...enough to leave two dents and a little bit of scratches. I went to my buddy who is a car painter/repairer. and he wants $350 to fix it. My dad says i have a $500 deductible and its not worth hasseling the insurance over....$350 isnt worth the rate increase? What does everyone think? Will it go up much? Is there anyway i can get them to pay without any increase? Just wondering because i dont feel like forking out mustang money into the truck. Thanks Ryan

If you weren't in the car it should be covered on your "comprehensive" plan. Usually doesn't affect your insurance.

Ryan, since your damages are below your deductable, you don't have a claim.
Generally, collision damage is when someone collides with you, or you collide with something else. Comprehensive is other than collision. Occupying the vehicle has no bearing on the type of claim.
