I have a 289 v8 in my mustang and i just got it running after a while of being in the garage and it appears that the right header is smoking when it gets warm, i think it may be an oil leak, but i wouldnt even begin to know where to look, any suggestions?

It's possible that it's oil residue on the header. Or your passanger side valve cover gasket is leaking. When it cools take a look at the lower part of the valve cover. Hope this helps.

I replaced the valve cover gasket, but that didnt seem to fix my problem. Is there anything else that could cause this?

If it was oil burning on the header/manifold you should be able to smell it. Can you smell oil burning? Is the engine and header clean? Maybe degrease and wash the engine to help you see if anything is running down from above the exhaust. It could be a leak at the flange from a bad exhaust gasket?
