I just changed the entire cable, housing, etc on my 92 5.0 aod coupe. It woeked for about three blocks and quit. Any ideas?

What tooth driven gear are you using? Did the cable break?

I'm guessing the cable was not solidly attached to the speedometer. If that clip was broken during removal, it's REALLY easy for the cable to slip out.....been there...done that before!

I agree about the cable not all the way in on the speedo head. I have done this myself.
