Sounds like the problem I had awhile back. Someone had put the wrong starter on and 1/3 of some of the teeth on the flywheel ring gear were gone!! Mine wouldn't engage when it stopped on those spots!!

Remove the starter and rotate the crank and inspect the ring gear for chipped or worn teeth.....You may have to replace the ring gear, but it is not that hard to do and not very expensive??

Good Luck,

hmm, i yust had my flywheel refinished and it all it's teeths left, so that shouldent be the problem ..

a friend told me that it wold be the solenoid, but this starter doesent have that, so it must be something else ..

it yust seems like the starter gear won't move... i'l yust have to remove it and take a closer look at it.
