Ok, for those with 65-66 mustangs, im curious. How much rwhp are you making but still using the stock fuel lines?

Just curious kinda if anyone knows what the stock fuel lines/pump is rated to.

I wouldn't think the stock pump and lines could handle much more than 250FWHP.

Didn't the HiPo 289's get 3/8's fuel line? They "only" made 271HP

I put in a completely new fuel supply system in my 67 when I swapped my motor, I think the stock line was kinked and was not suplying gas above 4000 rpm in the stock motor. I would change it if you are looking for any kind of performance.

I could run the stock line in my 351w in the 1/8 mile. I the quarter mile runs i was starting to run the bowls dry at the traps.

The stock sender unit can have the fuel pipe necked down to nearly 1/4" so don't expect much. A real 3/8 line is good to near 400 RWHP - with a good pump and a return system.
