I have the instrument cluster out of an '86 SVO Mustang which has a 140 speedo and an 8000 RPM tach. This obviously was a four banger so the tach was set up to run on it's cycles. I want to use this tach on a 302 but I don't think it will work that way. It has a place for a switch to switch it between 4, 6, or 8cyl but the switch isn't present. Does anyone know how to modify the tach to work on a V-8? Or should it just work as is?
