Are you soaking your seals before you put them in? If not, soak the seak in trans fluid for atleast 1/2 hour before you install it in the pump.....3 or 4 hours is better.
If you have pre-soaked them.....make sure you have the correct seal, look for any burrs or marks on the converter snout, support bearing in good order....and use alittle vasaline on the converter snout and seal before fitting the converter.
It sounds like the pump gasket to me.
Depending on the year it may have an "O" ring around the pump.

There is a gasket behind the pump that can leak as well.

If you had the convertor housing off then reinstalled it you could have twisted the pump and tore the gasket.
Have a look at the bushing in the pump. They can pull forward and cut off the return hole.
In rare cases I have seen leaks at the hub weld on the convertor.
Hm is it hard to change the pump gasket? I never took one of these apart lol
Pump Gasket !!!
alright ill change it , i knew i shoulda did it when i had it out the first time. Thanks everyone
OK took me a wile lol, but i took the trans out and took the bellhousing off and the whole pump and internals started coming out with the bell... the pump was like stuck on the bell is that normal? i didnt get a gasket or anything yet but i put it back together so i can put the tranny away but i dont even know if its together right lol i never worked on a transmission im only 19 this is my first project like this ... if the internals started to come out is sumthin wrong? OH and the pump gasket looked tore up but i dunno if thats from me taking it apart or not it was all broken
It was probably the pump gasket. Ive had this happen too. Just kind if gushes. You WILL have to make sure it all fits together like it supposed to before you start tightening anything . Easiest thing to do is take the front band out and put all the dums and etc stuff together on the bench and then sliding it in as a unit and stand the trans up on its tail ( with something supporting it ) . Then reinsert the front band and then the pump. Put on the bell then tighten it up and then adjust the band.
hm i have no clue how but i guess i can give it a try ha.. how do you adjust the band after its together?
Sounds like a lot of work but once you do it you'll realize how easy it was. This might be a good time to check your drum pack clearances and mabe change the clutches. $20 worth of clutches is essentially a transmssion rebuild.

To adjust the band you tighten the outer adjuster to 10 ft lb and then loosen the adjuster 1 1/2 turns . Then lock down the adjuster nut.
i dunno maybe ill just take it to this tranny guy my uncle knows and see how much he would charge to fix it all and stuff
Ahhh heck get an exploded veiw of the tranny and do it yourself.
Plenty of help here on this board.
By reading the Monster thread and getting exploded views of the C-4 i have rebuilt mine. It works like a champ. Shifts so hard makes my teeth rattle.
You original problem was a bad pump gasket.
My guess is the pump came out with the bell.
If you have a camera you can post a pic and i am sure get lots of help here.
