I'd rather not cut into the passenger compartment. I'm not going to seriously race the car, I just feel that with the upgrades that I am putting into the car I would feel a bit safer if my frame was connected.

Anyone else with ideas?

I'm working on the car today so I will try & get a few shots underneath and post them a little later tonight.

I got the ones for my '64 Comet from crites, fit right in. My wife conned me out of cutting the floor too.

I will admit that cutting the floor is a bit aggressive, especially if you are building a street car. Ours is being purpose-built for the track only so I don't have any considerations for fitting carpet, seats, etc. The Crites units would probably suit you better.

I will note though that while I was jacking the car up today, with the jack just ahead of the driver side connector, that as soon as the left front was about 6" off the deck the passenger front started coming off the floor as well.

Mine may not win the pretty award but they do work.

Ken -

Since you asked, here's an under car shot of the driver side connector.

As you can (kind of) see we just tied into the existing frame stub in the front, went through the floor cross member and connected to the existing rear, welding all the way around.

Again, it ain't pretty but it does appear to work.

Thanks Murff. I'm trying to put connectors on my 69 Falcon wagon, which is more like a Fairlane underneath. I haven't been able to find anything that works, yet........
