Got a pair of sway bar bushings. On the car, the retainers ("bow" where the bushing is retained) are only fastened with 2 bolts on the rear end of the retainer. The retainers in the new kit have more "standard" design, 1 bolt on each side of the bow. Is this a "standard" problem; new retainers with 2 holes on one side is impossible to get new these days? Looked at dearborn classics, the bushings imaged also has retainers with 1 hole on each side

I always use the old retainers and just replace the bushings. Where did you get the new bushings. I just got some last week from Greg Donuhue.

Got the polyurethane kit(brand: energy suspension)from a norwegian shop. Im gonna ask them if they are sure that the bushings fit a 63 Galaxie. The kit included new greasable retainers, so assume the retainers made more than half of the price

Use the old straps. The bushing is correct if it fits within the strap and it's hole is the correct size for the bar. Make sure you use recommended assembly lube as suggested or they will squeak.
