Have the opportunity to cash in and move my 67 in favor of a 64. How available are parts for this year? It has a 352 in it. I prefer the 67 but they are just so damned hard to get parts for as they don't seem to be very popular.

Parts are much easier to come by for the '64, especially compared to the '67. Come to the "dark side" we have cookies :) I am biased towards the '64s so i have no argument if you prefer the '64.

I'm confused  Trade in the eye candy for a 64? Why not trade in your wife for an older model while you're at it?

I'm agreeing with Putts.
If you like the '67 better, then stay with it.
It will be more rewarding in the end when your '67 is completed.

It's like choosing a woman.
You see two chicks side by side, and you pick the second best, when you really wanted the one you liked the most. You will never be as happy.

And to those feminists here, it was all Puttster's fault for putting this in my head. :)

Not that I'm biased (wink/wink), but IMHO, the 64 is the best looking Galaxie, and that's saying a lot, because, as we know, all Galaxies are good looking cars.

67's are harder to fine parts but you see less of them at shows than you do the other years (62-66). Keep the 67 and if you want a car that is easy to find parts for do as I did, get a 63 Impala and get all the parts you want but I will keep my 67 because it's different. That is until someone has to much money they want to unload.

Hey All,
Am reminded of an old Lovin' Spoonful's lyrics (the relevant part is in bold).

Did you ever have to make up your mind?
You pick up on one and leave the other one behind
It's not often easy and not often kind
Did you ever have to make up your mind?

Did you ever have to finally decide?
And say yes to one and let the other one ride
There's so many changes and tears you must hide
Did you ever have to finally decide?

Sometimes there's one with deep blue eyes, cute as a bunny
With hair down to here and plenty of money
And just when you think she's that one in the world
Your heart gets stolen by some mousy little girl

And then you know you better make up your mind
And pick up on one and leave the other one behind
It's not often easy and not often kind
Did you ever have to make up your mind?

Sometimes you really dig a Gal ('67) the moment you kiss her
And then you get distracted by her older sister
('64)
When in walks Gary and Deb and takes you in line
And says, "Better go home, son, and make up your mind"

Then you bet you'd better finally decide
And say yes to one and let the other one ride
There's so many changes and tears you must hide
Did you ever have to finally decide?

:)

I say go for the '64 and send me your '67 so I can have two :D

Seriously though get whatever car you will be most happy with.

I agree that parts are not the easiest to find, but it is a really good looking car. I always wanted a 63.5 but they were more expensive. Then I came a cross my '67 and love it. I don't think I would ever get rid of it, but it could use a friend. Perhaps a 63.5 Galaxie or a 63.5 Falcon.
