Personally, I think they are ugly. They make me want to fall over left in my chair because of the un-balanced nature. I don't mind ads, but I would rather have them like at the top and bottom of the page, or on both sides, not just one.

You probably got some spyware and need to run some AdAware 7.0 and some SpyBot on your computer to clear that up. I've never once run into an ad on FM. And rarely any other site either...

Thanks for the input. We're working on a new layout to launch soon, so yes you did see some testing late last night. The ads on the right side would be no different than how the appear now on the main page and within articles!

We've had sponsors on the site for a more than a year and half, February 2006 yielded the highest number of subscribers since our inception. It has always been our intent to bring on hand-picked and relevant advertisers.

Subscriber support has been fundamental in getting the site off the ground and still remains a critical revenue stream for us. So, the answer to your question is No, FordMuscle is not compromising for anything.

I think it looks ok on the main page and articles because of the three column layout, it look balanced and well. The way it was on the forum since the forum is one large column makes it look imbalanced to me. Just my $.02
