Over the time I've been here, I've come across a fair few Galaxie owners.
How about a thread where we can see all the different species of them, in the one place? Maybe just one or two pics each.
I'll start with mine, and we'll see how it goes.

1970 Galaxie 500 Sportsroof.
460, C6.
15x8 rims with 275/50 TAs.
Looking at possibility of suiciding the doors, and maybe airbags in the future.

66 Gal 500 Fastback, sporting a 302 from a 68 Fairlane. Soon to have a 460 (okay, not that soon). Paint and interior to be changed, as well.

673904spd: Why go 460 when you can go even bigger!!!! Atleast 514 crate. I think I've even seen you can go upwards to 600 cubes! Can you imagine the looks you'ld get with a 10 litre emblem on the fender!

We will just say it's going to be "based" on a 460....

I don't want to go too big (never thought I would say that...) because I don't want to find the breaking point of the factory toploader

Heavy car and a stick is just asking to break sunthin'

long story- if youre into rust, heres a link to some:
http://www.hometown.aol.com/ford4v429/gal1.html
we still drive it several times a year, usually just out to the graveyard(in the pic above)- amazingly its still got the original starter, tranny, waterpump, etc...I rebuilt the carb, replaced the fuelpump, and neighbor had replaced the alternator long ago- amazing this 40+ year old stuff still works but I realize nothin lasts forever- expecting EVERYTHING to quit one of these days
tranny still shifts smooth as silk, engine purrs... while it wont ever be a show worthy car(even if the rusty doors get replaced, and the torn seat gets reupholstered), it was still a kinda fun project, even if it snowballed into 100 times more work/time than anticipated...
