I have a 347 based on a CHP Street Fighter Kit, AFR185 heads, about 10.5:1 CR, Comp Cams hydraulic roller cam (Extreme Energy XE258HR), Edelbrock Performer RPM Airgap and a Holley DP650. I used to run a Mallory magnetic distributor and a HyFire 6AL box and have now switched to a Firestorm distributor less system with 8 coils. My motor ran on 14deg advance and the used the stock Mallory vacuum advance (not optimal, but it ran well). Now I wonder how I should start to set my timing on the fully programable Firestorm. Should I start at 14 and then step wise advance to 34 ? Is there a curve I can use to start with ?
