I purchased a steel billet Rollmaster Timing Gear/Chain set and it will not fit over the snout of my crankshaft,...AND the other gear will not fit the button on the camshaft. Now this is supposed to a very good unit that is made in Australia. OK no problem. So I ordered a new Billet Steel Timing Gear/Chain set from Summit. It arrived and fit perfectly. Viola! However, thereis some slack in the chain.
So my questions are 1) How much slack is acceptable. 2) Where does the camshaft thrust bearing go? Between the cam retainer and the gear? Or between the camshaft and the retainer. Hell,...I have forgot! Good Grief!
