I just changed the cam on my 390 and am putting the new timing set on. Its a double roller timming chain from dyna gear. The gear that goes on the crank can't go back far enough for the set to line up right. The chain would be at an angle instead of strait up and down. The cam gear can't come out any further either. Anyone know what im supposed to do??? Thanks for your help.

It looks like the gear for the crank is just wrong??? The old one had a concave area to slip over the part of the crank that sticks out of the front of the block. The new gear doesnt have this area. This is kind of hard to describe... I did notice that the numbers on the cam gear and the crank gear arnt the same but I dont know if they are supposed to be? One is 3118 B and the other is 3108 A...
