I just got back from the track about an hour ago, This is the first time I have run the Torino since 99, Only got 2 passes, they said I had to have a helmet to run again. These times were on my 255/60/15 tires (didnt get a chance to run the sticky tires) I foot braked to 1500 both times. Weight w/ driver was 3930 with almost 1/2 tank of gas.
1 - 2
60' - 2.31 - 2.23
330 - 5.59 - 5.85
1/8 - 8.95 - 8.84
mph - 81.18 - 81.66
1000 - 11.03 - 11.48
1/4 - 13.89 - 13.72
mph - 98.97 - 100.23

I think I could pull off a 13.4-13.5 w/ traction, seems to run out of breath at about 5400 in 3rd. thanks for all your ideas on my last post!

slicks usually drop off about .5 off your quarter mile et. Dont you hate that helmet stuff...and the roll cage? Im hoping my car runs in the 11's....so ill need a cage after the first run....But i got like 4 tracks around town...so thats 4 passes before i have to get the cage. Lol...Get a helmet...empty everything out of the car...throw the slicks on and go faster! Good Luck, Ryan

Will you need a 4 point cage or a 6 point if you run in the elevens? I going for high 10's but doubt it.

Rules are rules... sometimes they suck but they'll save your [email protected]#. You should be in my shoes. New track owner, now IHRA sanction & he pulls out a rule book & says"conform or go home"! (I have an 8 second street car) I've ran the same car there for over 10 yrs, crashed twice & wakled away. Now I have to get a 3 layer jacket, pants, shoes, gloves, collar, chassis cert & a license! There goes this year, think I'll keep running my SVO. 14's ain't too bad. Be careful about going fast, it's worse than drugs(trust me) & will cost you a LOT more!

Qtrmiler said it best....speed is like a drug, highly addicive, ridiculously expensive. Then the winter months...it's like going into withdrawl
