I made my own that I welded to the spring plate with flat stock. I used heavy wall 2' square tubing and had a piece of angle iron for mounting at the front where all of the springs stack up. I bought a set of replacement snubbers and it was a done deal for less than $20. Bottom line.. Half second off 60 foot times and you couldn't see any thing hanging from under the car. I can send you pics.

I used to run the slapper bars, did fine on the street but wheelhopped
bad at the track. Run the under ride now from traction master w/ the
m-1 castings and they really do seem to plant the rear more than before. I have not been back to the track yet to try them.

You'll note the picture in my signature shows my car equipped with slapper bars.... and both front tires in the air.

Best 60ft is 1.43 seconds. (launching on the bottle) It bogs to consistent mid 1.6's off the bottle. The 1.4 60fts on the bottle do require a well prepped track. Otherwise, nitroused launches are in the mid 1.5's.

I'm not saying slapper bars are the ONLY way to go, but can be quite effective.
