whats up guys? im new to the site. i just bought a c4 trans
and was wondering what model it is and mabye what it came out of. also what size converter? and spline?

the numbers on the case is D4DP-7006AA

the numbers on the servo? cover C6AP-7DO27-C
With a Big letter A

any help would be apreciated!

H will give slightly harder 1-2 shift than A. A is ok . The aftermarket ones are based on factory sizes usually H or C which is a little bigger again.
D4 will be late type. Best to identify by input size ,where the dipstick goes,where the bell mounts and where the breather is.

There should be a little metal tag on the intermediate servo cover bolt. Get the numbers off of the tag & maybe I can look it up for you.

I can tell you this, if it's a PEE-something, it'll most likely be a 5 disc forward clutch drum

The tag, if it is there, tells more about what is inside your transmission that anything else.

d4=1964
d=falcon/ltd/taurus
p=automatic transmission.
7=transmission part
006=case
AA=first desing level.

Don't know if it is a good one or not without the data from the tag on the front servo.
