my dad bought a transmission advertised as a toploader on offerup for a few hundred but said they used to have an aluminum case toploader as well that wasnt really good. The guy said it was from a 69 fairlane maybe the long tailshaft one. He pulled up a 300 4 speed truck from looking up numbers. The numbers i got are C260302 and D0AM-7A040-A 5-M3 hecho in mexico. Can anyone id this? Close to my original steel toploader he had in the late 70s early 80s

May i ask what part of trans that is? This one doesnt have a drain plug. Odd my 70 toploader iron 2.78 ratio in my 66 fit directly in a 67 falcon had either the front mount section i had made a 3/8" plate to relocate shifter back to fit fairlane. Bought this one for a 400-500$ with clutch shifter 2-3 days ago gambeling on offerup. Jegs has one like it without the round section on tailshaft that gets in the way for 2900$ says 69-71 falcon. Theres no tags on transmission. Mine says made in usa this one say heco in mexico.
