Building up a '86 Tbird, and putting a 351w in it. Now the question is, will the C5 handle the power of the 351? or should it be changed to a C6?

Or which T5 would bolt up?

The c5 will handle that 351 ok with a good buildup ,but use a shift kitted c4 v.b if you intend it for performance use.Check the archives for all the c4 build tips if you haven't done so already.

How much HP will the C5 rob, I'm mainly looking at this as an option as it is in the car currently. Perferably I'll pick up a t5 and rebuilt it.

Any idea what the length is of a c5 vs a t5..??
