Has anyone installed the newer 2v4v motors
in an older Ford?
besides the engine what parts from the donor car are
necessary

Lots of people are doing this. You'll need a lot of money, all the electrical, computer and sensors plus fabbing up a fuel system similar to the original. All the mounts, etc will be custom - no kits. If it's a shock tower car, add about $3000 for rack and pinion and removing the towers. The motors are wider than a Boss 429.

also need a trans with bell pattern to match the engine, or an adapter.

There is at least one company selling intakes for carb's with a computer for the ignition.

Modular bellhousings are available for C4's or most manuals. If you go Auto I'd run a 4r70w.
