I was driving my car today an noticed a wierd whinig/grinding type noise. From a stop when letting the clutch out and giving it gas in 1st gear there is a nasty whine just as I reach the friction point? No noises in other gears, and the clutch grabs pretty hard so it is not worn out... is this a throwout bearing problem or something else?

Okay, well I think it is the throwout bearing, cause I drove some more and it started making the grinding noise when the clutch was pushed in now. So I guess time for a new clutch...

Since I am going to put on new heads, cam, intake, the works, and I'm aiming at somewhere above 400 hp, I am thinking I might as well go with a centerforce dual friction while I am at it. But, are there any other recommendations as to what may work better for me?

Thanks
