Around what size cam is the largest you can have for a 302 bored .060 over? What size cam gives a good lope too?

The Boss sounds good w. something like the CompCams-Magnum(?) 282 cam, but if you really want power, go for a roller-cam.
And call your favorite cam-manufact. for discussing the right one...

With the Edelbrock RPM heads you are limited to a maximum of .575 lift unless you change your vavle springs. As far as P/V clearence I cant help there your 302 is of a vintage nature and I am not familiar with the piston design. I run the same head ( 1.90 IN, 1.60 EX ) with a .544 lift IN and .566 lift EX cam in a 89 5.0 roller motor all works fine, the stock pistons are notched for valve relief.

I was wondering how big I could go without having to notch pistons for valve relief.
